adrenal fatigue: there is a better way

Adrenal fatigue occurs more commonly than you would think, with many individuals simply unaware they are suffering from the condition. Many more know they have an issue but do not know what. Although symptoms include low energy levels, sugar and salt cravings, dizziness and low blood pressure, increased allergic reactions, sensitivity to loud noises and disrupted sleeping patterns and an inability to lose weight, some people accept this as normal and continue their daily struggle.

Doctors in the UK received almost zero nutritional training and are taught that there is only three types of adrenal function. Not only is this shown to be completely incorrect by tests, it is responsible for a huge number of patients being dismissed or being offered anti-depressants as a token measure. Adrenal imbalance occurs due to problems at the adrenal glands, not due to a deficiency of anti-depressants.

In most cases, adrenal fatigue occurs following excessive stress levels that have been endured for too long. Whether caused by psycholiogical stress, poor eating or sleeping habits or chronic infections, most sufferers report a 'crash' from which they never fully recovered. This crash occurs alongside a major fall in levels of cortisol, the major stress hormone secreted by the adrenal glands.

Effective treatment for adrenal fatigue involves elininating these stressors while nourishing the gland with the appropriate nutrients. Although simple in principle, sufferers of such adrenal imbalance often react unexpectedly to a number of nutritional interventions. This makes self-treatment impossible and treatment with standard nutritionists unwise.

Marek Doyle is one of the few experts in this regard, both knowledgeable in the subtleties of adrenal physiology and experienced in guiding patients back to full health. As one of the few people in the world with this level of understanding, Marek regularly consults individuals from all over the world. However, those in the UK can see Marek face-to-face in both the London or Basingstoke clinics.
